CyberKiko FTPSync 2.9 & 2.10 Documentation

DSTChange/DSTDifference Parameters

DSTChange : tells FTPSync, when the next Daylight Saving Time (DST) change will occur. This helps FTPSync avoid full transfer, due to changed file time stamps reported by Windows & most FTP servers. This parameter is in format YYYYMMDDhhmm where YYYY is year, MM is month, DD is day, hh is hour and mm are minutes, when the next Daylight Saving Time (DST) change will occur.

NOTE: This parameter is only relevant in the [Source] section and is set by FTPSync automatically. In most cases it will be set correctly. However, if your source is a FTP server, located in some other country, not yours, than you may need to change the time of next DST change, as not all countries change DST at the same time. A good list of when DST is changed in different countries is available at: http://webexhibits.org/daylightsaving/g.html

DSTDifference : tells FTPSync, for how much (in minutes) the clock is changed during DST change. Same note apply here as for DSTChange parameter.

Setting DSTChange & DSTDifference parameters properly will avoid a full transfer every time your country goes in or out of DST. However, even if set correctly, there may be a full transfer, if you schedule FTPSync to run during the DST change itself (this is a problem during the autumn, when clocks goes back, and there's an hour that repeats twice - avoid transfers during that hour).
